Pelatihan Kelompok Masyarakat Desa Mandalle Dalam Pemanfaatan Rumput Laut Menjadi Produk Pangan Training of Community Groups in Mandalle Village on Using Seaweed as Food Products
Main Article Content
Abstract
Mandalle Village has excellent potential in the marine fishery and seaweed cultivation, covering 592.54 hectares. However, its utilization as value-added products is still limited due to the community’s low skills in processing and marketing. This community service aims to enhance the technical capacity for producing syrup, donuts, and seaweed biscuits and strengthen business management and digital marketing for local SMEs and fishermen. The implementation methods include technical production training, business management, and digital marketing strategies conducted over five days with a participatory approach and product demonstrations. The service results show an improvement in the community’s ability to produce three types of processed seaweed products, simple production tools, active marketing of products through digital platforms, and establishing brand identity with standard packaging. This activity is expected to promote the village's economic independence and development.
