Main Article Content
Abstract
Synbiotics are additional supplements that support the feed efficiency in a local chicken farm because they contain good bacteria that can optimize nutrient absorption. Delivery of material to the students aims to provide an understanding of the benefits of synbiotics as additional supplements for KUB chicken livestock. The activity was held at the Le Scholar Nature School, Gowa Regency. The rest of the participants and school teachers attended it. The delivery of information uses two methods: a lecture method regarding the introduction of synbiotics followed by a video demonstration of making synbiotics and a short discussion session. At the end of the activity, the participants' level of understanding was evaluated by filling in a questionnaire containing questions consisting of two parts: 1) Understanding of synbiotics and 2) Technical application of synbiotics. 71.43% of respondents answered correctly in part 1, and 63.33% answered correctly in part 2. The material regarding synbiotics in KUB chicken farming through video media could be understood by participants as indicated by the evaluation results measuring the level of participants' understanding after providing the material.
