Abstract

Pamelo oranges have a sweet, sour, and fresh taste because they contain lots of water and vitamin B, provitamin A, vitamins B1, B2, and folic acid. Every 100 grams of grapefruit contains 53 Kcal of energy, 0.6 g of protein, 0.2 g of fat, 12.2 g of carbohydrates, 125 mcg of retinol, 23 mg of calcium, and 27 mg of phosphorus. Other ingredients are flavonoids, pectin, and lycopene. Allesipitoe Village, Ma'rang District, Pangkep Regency, South Sulawesi, is a center for pomelo cultivation with a potential area of 350 ha and 70,000 trees. As a leading agricultural commodity in Pangkep district, pomelo oranges have great potential to be developed as value-added processed products. One of the processed products from pomelo oranges is syrup. This Community Service aims to improve the skills of the Allesipitoe village community, such as making syrup drinks and fruit spread from pomelo oranges. The method applied in carrying out service activities is FGD and training on potential raw materials for Pangkep district, Pamelo oranges, focusing on training on how to process Pamelo oranges into syrup to provide added value from Pamelo oranges. Implementation of activities can run smoothly according to previously prepared plans. This activity greatly helped participants learn more about processing pomelo oranges into syrup and jam.
